Every year we look forward to our office holiday party, with this year being no acceptation.

Our staff from both of our Chandler & Phoenix offices, Drs. Serrano & Kyger, and our guests joined in for the celebration.  What a great turnout this year!

We started our party at a fun; casual restaurant in downtown Phoenix called the Switch. The food was yummy and it was awesome to be able to catch up with everyone. After we were done with dinner, we headed over to Phoenix Theatre to see A Christmas Story, which was a good show. Before the show started, we had dessert at the theatre. Roz, our Phoenix Practice Representative planned for the dessert to be at the theatre, as well as the rest of the party. Thanks to Roz for planning a rocking holiday celebration.

A fun night was had by all. We want to thank Drs. Serrano & Kyger for treating everyone to a night that we will always remember. Everyone was feeling the love!

We would like to introduce the newest members of our team; Cheryl and Brieanne.

I’m a 5th generation Arizonan. I am married with three grown daughters, a grandson and two dogs. I enjoy camping, kayaking, jet skiing, or getting away to a hidden cabin. Love spending time with family and friends having some awesome BBQ’s. I’m a little obsessed with RockBand. Yes…I said RockBand the video game. Everyone fights over playing the guitar but I sat down to the drums and became the RockBand Queen! I’ve drum so much I’ve already gone through 2 pair of drums sets already. It’s very therapeutic.

I am, what I consider, a recent transplant to Arizona. I moved just over three years ago from a suburb just outside of Chicago, IL where I grew up. After moving here, I decided to make a career change. I left JPM Chase after 9 great years for the exciting new world of dentistry where I worked for a General Dentist as a Dental Assistant for about a year. Now, here I am, with this great opportunity in Orthodontics, working with a team of wonderful people. I am new to the field, learning more and more every day and loving every second of it. I am a newly wed since May of this year, and as of right now, our only children are our dogs, Pancakes and Mike (whom we love and adore like humans, it’s kind of sick). When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family and friends, going shopping for anything I can put in my house, cooking, taking short trips to wherever I can get to and I LOVE T.V. (I know… not so healthy, but the truth)

We would like to introduce the newest members of our team; Shelley, Jennifer & Katelyn.

I have recently returned to work for the practice after a 5 year leave. I previously worked in the Chandler location as a treatment coordinator but now am working as a treatment coordinator in the Phoenix office. I am married to Jason, an electrical contractor. We have two beautiful daughters, Hanna and Sabrina who are attending college. Our eldest is at ASU and our youngest is beginning U of A this fall. We have three Jack Russel Terriers that are very active and keep us company. I have a passion for cooking, have studied culinary arts and make a wonderful Rum Cake   that I sell during the holidays. I also enjoy all outdoor sports and traveling.

My name is Jennifer and I have been an orthodontic assistant for 6 years. I went to the Bryman School in Phoenix for 2 years to study dental assisting. I was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. I went to Coronado High School where I played the flute in the marching band. I had braces for 4 years when I was younger. I loved going to my appointments so much I decided that I wanted to be an assistant when I grew up and help everyone enjoy getting a beautiful smile as much as I did.

I moved to Phoenix three years ago from around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I attended a training school for dental assisting and shortly afterward began working as an Assistant in general dentistry for two years. I’ve always had an interest in orthodontics and the opportunity opened up for me to work for Dr. Serrano. I’m excited to be part of such a great team of professionals. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking, traveling, antiquing and spending time with family and friends.

On May 13, 2011, Drs. Serrano & Kyger honored four of our Veteran Staff Members who have been with the practice for 20 years or more. In their honor, a celebration was held in the Courtyard of our Phoenix office.

Family, friends and colleagues were invited to celebrate with us. There was live music, spirits, and hors devours.

It was wonderful to share in this momentous occasion. As you can see from the photos, fun was had by all!

Dr. Serrano presented each of the staff members with an engraved vase and thanked all of them for their dedication and commitment to the practice. After the party, Dr. Serrano took the Fab 4 out for a very yummy dinner.

Congratulations to our FAB 4 for a job well done!

Serrano & Kyger Staff Appreciation Day

On Friday, March 11th, both the Phoenix & Chandler staff was given a wonderful treat from Drs. Serrano & Kyger.
To show their appreciation, the doctors treated the staff to a day of relaxation.

It started with a yummy lunch at Parc Central restaurant located in the Scottsdale Quarter.  All of the staff had
a little gift waiting for them on their plate—MAC lip-gloss! What a nice surprise. The staff had a chance to hang
out and enjoy spending time together.

The second part of the treat was going to the I-PIC theatre – AMAZING! We got the royal treatment.
Plush seating with chairs that recline, blankets, pillows, popcorn, and goodie bags of candy brought by
our Practice Representatives.

If you have never been to the I-PIC theatre, it is a must for a special occasion. The theatre is beautiful, with
a restaurant, bar area, concessions and so much more. Our staff had an “experience” of watching a movie in
style. Check out the theaters website: www.ipictheaters.com.

We all feel very fortunate to be working with such talented orthodontists. It was so nice to be acknowledged for a
job we already love to do. Thank you Dr. Serrano & Dr. Kyger!!
