Holiday Fun with Our Staff

Our 2010 Office Holiday Party was a blast! Dr. Serrano opened up his home to all of us…….Drs. Serrano and Kyger were the perfect hosts….we had a world class chef cook up an authentic Holiday dinner with all the trimmings….grilled market vegetables,  beef tenderloin, roasted turkey, grilled salmon….and an unbelievable array of yummy desserts….no one left hungry!!

The doctors surprised the staff with each one getting to select their own personal piece of fun jewelry from Leeza’s DesignZ–check it out on her Facebook page! She was there to help each staff member select a piece that reflected their own unique personality.  To end the night, we did our traditional “white elephant” gift exchange. Lots of fun and laughter!  There was one casualty….a beautiful bottle of liqueur ended up on the floor in pieces…wah!

What’s New with Our Staff

This month, Connie celebrates 14 years with our team. She is one of our scheduling coordinators and front office personnel in our Chandler office.

My husband and I moved here 14 ½ years ago from Minnesota. We wanted to get out of the cold. I have been married to my high school sweetheart Keith for 39 years. We have two children Brent and Kim and seven wonderful grandchildren; Brooke, Cole, Conner, Cole, Emma, Jack and Caleb.  They all live in Minnesota so we try to get back there as much as we can. I have worked for Dr Serrano & Dr Kyger for 14 years. I enjoy working with wonderful friends and getting to know all of our fantastic patients. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy going to movies. We recently got a new puppy; a Shih Tzu Toby. He keeps us very busy.

This month Trecia celebrates 2 years with our team. She is one of our clinical technicians in our Phoenix office.

I was born and raised in Arizona. I was a dental assistant for 12 years before working for Dr Serrano. I was a patient of his before becoming an employee. I have been married to my husband Abel for 10 years. We have 4 children; Celina 8, Alyssa 7, Breanna 4 and A.J 2. I love collecting Coach purses. In my free time I love to spend time with my kids.

This month Debbie celebrates 4 years with our team. She is one of  our clinical technicians who travels between both offices.

I grew up in Rock Island, Illinois and graduated from Alleman High School.  In 1991 I moved to Denver, Colorado with my husband Chris. I graduated from Concorde Dental Assisting School in 1993, from there went straight into Orthodontics. I lived in Ahwatukee for 10 years with my husband and 3 daughters, Samantha 18, Casey 15, & Heidi 12. I enjoy family vacations, camping, hiking, volunteering, and running 1/2 marathons or maybe just a 5k if it’s for a good cause.  When I am running a race, you can usually find my girls volunteering somewhere on the racecourse.

Dr Serrano’s son Andrew recently finished his football season at Brown University. This season was like no other. Not only did he wear the same number (55) like his dad, but he was also named team captain. Never before in the team’s history have there been a father and son who were both team captains.

What’s New with the Staff

In November, Ronna celebrated 6 years with the team. She is the practice representative for the Chandler office.

I can’t believe this is my sixth year with the practice. My name is Ronna Silberman and I am the Practice Representative for the Chandler office.  I am responsible for all of the external and some of the internal marketing. In many ways I am the liaison between our office and the dental offices that we work with. It’s great working with other dental professionals that we share a common goal with – how we can give our patients the best care resulting in a beautiful smile on their face.

Originally I am from Philadelphia, PA but have lived in Arizona for 33 years. My husband David and I have been married for 18 years. We have an amazing 13-year-old son Michael who keeps us busy with soccer and all of his other activities. Personally, I like to run and go shoe shopping. As a family we love to going to the beach, watching the Food Network, and spending time with family and friends.

What’s New with the Staff

In October, Becky celebrated 20 years with our team. She is our financial coordinator for both the Chandler and Phoenix Offices.

It has been a blessing to be a part of Dr. Serrano and Kyger’s team for the past 20 years.  It never ceases to amaze me the transformation that takes place in our patient’s lives during their orthodontic treatment.

I have lived in Phoenix since I was six months old – so I consider myself a native.  I have been married to my best friend Andy, for 23 years.  We have 2 beautiful children, (both who have their incredible smiles thanks to Dr. Serrano), a wonderful son-in-law, and 2 of the cutest grandchildren in the world!!  In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano, (I am a pianist at our church – also a youth choir director), reading, taking care of my elderly father who lives with us, and spending time spoiling my grandbabies!

In October, Roz celebrated 27 years with our team. She is our practice representative for the Phoenix office.

I have been working with Dr. Serrano for the past 27 years. I started out as an orthodontic assistant at age 19. Over time, my role has expanded to include all aspects of patient care and eventually transitioned to practice marketing. For the past 6 years, I’ve provided all the internal and external marketing support for the practice. It’s truly a pleasure to see how our patients respond with treatment and the boost it gives their self image!

On a more personal note, I’m married to Seth, a financial advisor and we have 2 sons, Jeremy (20) and Jacob (19), who both attend ASU. Our sons are also professional rock musicians! Their band is called Age Of Evil. We live an active lifestyle in Scottsdale and enjoy traveling, movies and spending time with our friends and family. Life is Good!

In October, Connie went back to Minnesota for her daughter Kim’s wedding. She was able to visit family and friends and spend time with her grandkids. She and her husband Keith really enjoyed the fall weather. Unfortunately, they were unable to bring it back to Phoenix with them.

Our Proudest Moments

In August Lori celebrated 17yrs with our team. She is one of our scheduling coordinators and front office personnel.

I moved to Prescott from southern California in 1964.  Other than briefly living in Kansas City, Ks and Guilford, CT, I have lived in Arizona for 41 years.  I am a true desert rat – I hate the cold.  I have 3 daughters, Leah, Nicole and Erica and consider them my BFF’s.  I started working for Dr. Serrano in 1993 and never tire of witnessing all of the beautiful smiles that he has produced since that time.  I can honestly say that I have never had an unhappy patient at the end of their treatment here.  The best aspect of my job as receptionist in the Phx office is all of the great people I get to work with and interact with on a daily basis. I know that when I retire in 4 years, I will truly miss all of my co-workers and Dr. Serrano as I consider them all part of my family.

In August, Scott celebrated 15 years with our team. He is our business manager.

I have been the business manager for Serrano & Kyger Orthodontics for the last 15 years. I graduated from ASU with a degree in business management. I have been in Phoenix since 1967, after coming to Phoenix from Pompano Beach, Florida. I enjoy Sun Devil and Cardinal football games. GO DEVILS!!!!

In August, Jan celebrated 16 years with our team. She is one of our clinical technicians.

I am a true Arizona native. I have been in the orthodontic field for 27 years. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Brad, for 29 years. We have 2 awesome children; Erin, 27, who is a U of A graduate and Matt, 23, who is an ASU graduate. When I am not working I enjoy cooking, shopping and bicycling.

In August, Linda celebrated 8 years with our team. She is one of our clinical technicians.

I have been in the field for 10 years and with Dr. Serrano and Dr. Kyger for 8 years. I live in Mesa, AZ. I am married and have a 2 yr old little boy named Jared. I like to shop, travel and spend time with my family.
