Our First Year of Giving

In light of the stressed economic times over the last 3 years, Drs. Serrano and Kyger decided to do something special during the holidays this past year; A Year of Giving.

Drs. Serrano & Kyger offered their referring doctors a chance to participate. Each of these doctors select a patient for each quarter of 2010 to be entered into a drawing to receive a gift of orthodontic treatment. This is a patient who otherwise would not be able to afford care. The patient selected had to answer a question: How would straight teeth and a healthy bite change your life?

Our offices received many entries with compelling stories. It was a suspenseful selection, but from each of our office locations the 2 winners for this quarter and our staff were overwhelmed with joy!

From our Chandler office, the winner was Angela Rogers. Angela is a patient of Dr. Kline. From our Phx office, the winner was Ayana Kelly. She is a patient of Dr. Taylor. To celebrate Angela and Ayana’s win, several of the staff from both of our offices along with Dr. Kline’s and Dr. Taylor’s staff, showered our winners with balloons, cupcakes and their certificate for
“A Gift of Orthodontic Treatment”

Angela said that she doesn’t like to smile because her teeth are “messed up”. She has wanted to straighten her teeth but has not been able to afford orthodontic treatment. Angela couldn’t stop thanking us to say that straight teeth are going to lift her self-esteem and change her life.

Ayana said “There are plenty of things I want in this world, but my main goal is to have straight teeth. I don’t want to cover my smile anymore. I want to show all the world my pearly whites, but I don’t have the money to do so. I pray that one day I get to brighten the world with my smile”

Both of the families could not thank us enough. We are all excited to be able to have such a positive impact on these deserving recipients.
